Wander

It's been about 6 years since we first opened our virtual doors. And wouldn't it be nice to say now, that Bluish is what I had planned for it to be all along, that every decision was intentional, and every dollar was well spent.

It would be nice. But I would be lying.

Bluish started innocently: I was confused about motherhood, tutus were fun, so I forged forward with mostly, 'why not'. At the beginning, there was an intentional push to sell tutus. We did baby shows and pop-ups, there was a lot of in-person heavy lifting. After a few years, we plateau'd.

I found myself at crossroads then, not sure how to move forward. I managed to convince myself that if it was time to say goodbye, I wouldn't fight it. But before I go, I needed to tell the story behind Bluish. I thought it deserved to be heard.

And then Dragon's Den happened.

And then I gave birth.

And then there was a whirlwind of medical attention.

And then I paused the shop.

And here we are now, wandering into a new space and a craft I’ve loved for so long - writing.
