Designed by Sarah in Canada, skirt made by Amanda & team in China, and straps are made by Monica in Canada.
A bit about Amanda & her team: Amanda runs a family owned business in a simple 3 storey building in Dongguan, Guangzhou. The bottom floor is for fabric cutting, the middle floor is for sewing, and the top floor is for resting. All of the cutting, sewing, and packaging is done by a small group of family members and local hires.
Monica is our local seamstress located in Markham, Ontario. She does all of our needlework and finishes. Monica carefully cuts and prepares the wingback straps with cotton backing, shapes them for the right wing span, and then sews them on.

Inspired by Christmas and the nativity story, I wanted to create a style that reflects the mystery and miracle of Christmas. The name itself, was suggested by a helpful person on Instagram. I was originally going to name it Baby Joelle, which means ‘God be willing’ but Baby Aurora reflects the style of the skirt and the wonder of Christmas even better.
