  • Designed by Sarah in Canada, made by Amanda & team in China and Monica in Canada.

A bit about Amanda & her team: Amanda runs a family owned business in a simple 3 storey building in Dongguan, Guangzhou. The bottom floor is for fabric cutting, the middle floor is for sewing, and the top floor is for resting. All of the cutting, sewing, and packaging is done by a small group of family members and local hires.

Monica is our local seamstress located in Markham, Ontario. She does all of our needlework and finishes. Although stitching on little satin bows sounds simple, a lot of care is placed into tying the bow and making sure that it is stitched on in the best form possible. That’s the kind of detailed work that Monica is really good at.

  • I wanted to design a style that’s truly timeless and impeccably textured. Something that catches your eye not because it’s shiny and fancy, but it draws you in because of something more subtle - you almost have to look closer to find out what it is. So instead of adding colour or shine, I decided to add texture and contrast. I think this is why the Baby Isla is such a classic.
