A bit about Amanda & her team: Amanda runs a family owned business in a simple 3 storey building in Dongguan, Guangzhou. The bottom floor is for fabric cutting, the middle floor is for sewing, and the top floor is for resting. All of the cutting, sewing, and packaging is done by a small group of family members and local hires.

Monica is our local seamstress located in Markham, Ontario. She does all of our needlework and finishes. Monica carefully prepares and sews each organza strap. Organza is a tricky material to work with because of how slippery it is, but Monica handles it wonderfully. Each strap is cut by hand using a hot knife in order to seal the edges, and then sewn on to the elastic waistband for durability. This kind of detailed work is what Monica is really good at.

I’ve always wanted to incorporate organza into our products. Like tulle, it’s airy and plays well with light. Unlike tulle though, organza is very much a free spirit; it will not fold or sit in a specific way, it will bend and spread out whichever way it likes. That makes organza an amazing fabric for accents. The Tiffany is made with oversized organza straps, intended to tie over the shoulders with just enough fabric left so that the wingtip ends can wave and dance along with your little one. Out of all of our designs, Tiffany is probably the spunkiest.
