  • For mama - 1 size. Generally fits up to women's size 12+. Elastic waist stretches from 28 inches to 44 inches. Length is approximately 20.5 inches, length of cotton lining is approximately 15 inches.

    For mini - 3 sizes. 1-3T measures approximately 10.5 inches long and the waist stretches from about 15 inches to 24 inches - typically starts to fit when the child can sit independently, around 6 months. 3-5T measures approximately 12.5 inches long and the waist stretches from about 16 inches to 26 inches. 5-7Y measures approximately 14.5 inches long and the waist stretches from about 17 inches to 28 inches.

    The basic skirt was made by Amanda’s family owned business in a simple 3 storey building in Dongguan, Guangzhou China. The fabric was cut by hand on the bottom floor, and then sewn into tutus by a few seasoned seamstresses on the middle floor. No production happened on the third floor, it was for rest.

    Amanda and Sarah are friends, connected by genuine care for each other and heritage ties to Guangzhou China. We take care of the people who make your tutu, because we’re connected by friendship.

  • I started Bluish when Summer was about a year old. At the time, she was a baby and I was into all the frilly things for her. And then I blinked and now she’s 7 years old. I wanted to make something timeless, something that would grow with the both of us. And that was why I chose this dotted fabric in vintage lace style. The touch and make of this fabric, the way that it weighs just a little heavier and drapes a little bit more, is just right.
